Traditional Frame and Dome
The Skyspan Frame & Dome (TFD) is the top part of the Skyspan Traditional Skylight without the flashing. TFD Skylights are used when the roof already has an existing fully flashed upstand, or the installer is providing their own flashing. Standard sizes will suit most existing skylights and can be custom-made to fit any rectangle or square skylight.

Maintenance & Repair
Skylights should be inspected at least once per year and any build-up of leaves and rubbish be removed from around the skylight. Depending on the severity of the problem, this may be needed to be performed more often.
The Skyspan skylight is normally cleaned by the elements. At least once per year, wipe over with soap and water and a nonabrasive sponge. Avoid using solvents and thinners. Dust and wipe over to ensure that any build-up or caked dust is removed which could prematurely cause corrosion. Repeat as often as needed for each individual location.

Description
The Skyspan Frame & Dome (TFD) is the top part of the Skyspan Traditional Skylight without the flashing. TFD Skylights are used when the roof already has an existing fully flashed upstand, or the installer is providing their own flashing. Standard sizes will suit most existing skylights and can be custom-made to fit any rectangle or square skylight.
The TFD frame and Trims are manufactured from Zincalume steel for durability. They can also be custom made in other materials including Stainless Steel, Aluminium and copper. The TFD Skylightis designed for economy, a low silhouette, and easy installation whilst bringing in abundant natural light.
The standard dome is formed from 3mm acrylic and 4.5mm for larger sizes. There are no fixings through the glazing to allow for thermal cycling. Tint and clear domes are also available.
The Skyspan skylight comes standard as a non-ventilated unit with the option of passive ventilation.
The Skyspan skylight is manufactured to comply with the Australia Standard AS4285 and is covered by a seven (7) year guarantee.
