Maintenance & Repair
Skylights should be inspected at least once per year and any build up of leaves and rubbish be removed from around the flashing. Depending on the severity of the problem, this may be needed to be performed more often.
The Skyspan flashing is normally cleaned by the elements. At least once per year, wipe over with soap and water and a nonabrasive sponge. Avoid using solvents and thinners. Dust and wipe over to ensure that any build up or caked dust is removed which could prematurely cause corrosion. Repeat as often as needed for each individual location.

Description
Velux Custom Pitched flashings are available to suit the Flat Roof range of Velux skylights. The Flashing is Pitched at 5° because although Flat Roof Skylights are Suitable for Roof Pitch 0 - 60°, VELUX recommends Flat Roof Skylights are installed with a slight pitch (e.g. 3° - 5°) to help prevent condensation build up and water ponding on the glass. These flashings are supplied standard from Zincalume steel and are available to be powdercoated to complement the Colorbond range of colours. The flashings are available to suit all roof profiles. These flashings can be supplied in a range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel and copper. The Velux Custom FCM Flashings are covered by a seven (7) year guarantee.
